(b. 1985, in Czeladź) Visual artist. He graduated from the Graphic Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Working with various artistic disciplines (drawing, painting, photography, digital media), Wajer creatively combines traditional tools with a modern intermedia way of thinking. The hallmark of his artistic practise is his outstanding authorial ability to ‚filter’ images obtained from various sources, as well as those being quite distant records of the common reality. In 2021, the series of his works From Eye to Bone won the ShowOFF section (competition for debuts) as part of the Krakow Photomonth. In 2020 Wajer became a laureate of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. In 2019, his exhibition of works entitled Saturday Morning Selfie has been entirely obtained for the collection of the Museum of Photography in Krakow (MuFo). He is keen on initiating his own exhibition projects of a more ephemeral nature (such as the Chicco Gallery run since 2017), while freely using the possibilities offered by internet platforms, such as Instagram.
